Visitor Comments (5) From Religulous Posted By NICOLEOBRIEN on April 1, 2009 In religulous, Bill Maher addresses a remark someone makes about Jesus fulfilling OT prophecy. He smirks and says something along the lines of - "Well, the New Testament came after the Old Testament, so the writers of the New Testament could have simply made up a story that fulfilled these prophecies."
What can be said about that? Are there any prophecies for which fulfillments could not have been fabricated? Scriptures are Historical Accounts Posted By NJSNYDER on October 3, 2009 The Scriptures are Historical accounts of what happened they are not just a bunch of made up stories, so if they were made up of course they could fulfill any prophecy they wanted to. Rather they are giving a Historical Account, of Historical Events, that are fulfilling prophecies given beforehand.
If people understood & returned to the Hebraic Roots of our faith alot of confusion between pagan legends & similarities would be gone! The real Messiah isn't born on Dec.25th but at Feast of Tabernacles (a fall feast, "Tabernacled with men" & will happen in Millenium Zec.14:16-17). The Messiah wasn't crucified at Easter but at Passover (Passover Lamb). There is not a god out there who fulfills or competes with the actual Biblical holidays in Leviticus 23 which are shadow pictures of things to come Col.2:17 ˜ of course you can find negative on anything now even with Christians in this time of restoration Acts 3:21 which conflicts with peoples traditions & theologies. If Christianized pagan holidays gives athiests ammunition, that should be a sign to return to seek the genuine source! The Fall Feasts are prophetic of Yahshua's 2nd coming! We can trust He is a true "prophet" Deut.13:1-5 & kept the word in detail, commandments, feasts, Sabbath's & Savior. He won't lead us astray in the rest of prophecy to be fulfilled, which some is written in the NT & there isn't going to be a 3rd Testament, just the Lamb's Book of Life! www.biblicalholidays.com a starter. Still doesn't answer the question. For those writing the new testament (not history at that point...allegedly), what kept them from reading the old testament and creating fulfilled prophecies? The best historical record of Jesus' life is found in the Bible, but is it credible or isn't it just a European book that has nothing to do with black people?
Okay. I know I'm about to make a few brothers mad, but I had a real problem with the Million Man March. I guess the problem I had was a problem with the leader. Did Jesus weep because Lazarus had died?
